How it Works
Texas Star
- Fill out your STAR renewal form.
- Mail your form back to HHSC right away.
Texas Chip
In the months before a child鈥檚 coverage is due to end, HHSC will send the family a renewal packet in the mail. The renewal packet contains an application. It also includes a letter asking for an update on the family鈥檚 income and cost deductions. The family needs to:
- Look over the information on the renewal application.
- Fix any information that is not correct.
- Sign and date your application.
- Look at the health plan options, if Medicaid health plans are available.
- Return the renewal application and documents of proof by the due date.
